Formato da LEC 2020

No primeiro split, as dez equipes se enfrentarão em séries MD1 (Melhor de um), ida e volta, classificando os seis melhores times para os playoffs. Nesta etapa, teremos um formato de dupla eliminação, com chaves para vencedores e derrotados. AS partidas e chaves serão divididas por semanas, ficando da seguinte forma:
1° Semana
Jogo 1: 1° lugar vs 3° ou 4° lugar (o 1° colocado tem o poder de escolha).
Jogo 2: 2° lugar vs 3° ou 4° lugar (time que sobrar após a escolha cima).
Jogo 3: 5° vs 6° lugar
2° semana
Jogo 4 (Chave dos derrotados): Time com menor colocação entre os times derrotados do jogo 1 e 2 vs Vencedor do jogo 5.
Jogo 5 (Chave dos vencedores): Vencedor do jogo 1 vs Vencedor do jogo 2
Jogo 6 (Chave dos derrotados): Time vencedor do jogo 4 vs Derrotado que sobrou do jogo 1 e 2.
Semana 3
Jogo 7 (Chave dos derrotados): Vencedor do jogo 6 vs Derrotado do jogo 5
Jogo 8 (Grande final): Vencedor do jogo 5 vs Vencedor do jogo 7

Pontos
- A LEC utilizava Pontos de Campeonato como uma forma de conquista de uma das vagas para o Mundial de League of Legends. Agora esse sistema foi extinto e todas as vagas serão preenchidas de acordo com o desempenho as equipes nos playoffs do segundo split. No entanto, os pontos ainda permanecerão e ajudarão a definir as equipes que irão esta etapa na segunda metade do ano. No primeiro split, a pontuação dependerá da posição final de cada equipe após o fim do campeonato. No segundo, essa pontuação irá depender da posição de cada uma no fim da fase regular. As seis equipes com melhores pontuações avançarão para os playoffs do split de verão. Veja a tabela de distribuição de pontos:
